Hey! So Glad You're Here.
I've always dabbled in sewing, its only since having kids that I feel like I've hit my sewing groove.
The majority of my wardrobe is now handmade or thrifted. I'm slowly re- formatting my style as I head into my 40's.
My body is not what it was, embracing the changes, creating compassion for myself, that is what sewing does.
Enjoying the uniqueness and joy, the connection you find with other like minded creatives.
Having grown up in Newcastle, Australia, it's not until now that I really feel like myself. almost as if all other versions of me have united for who I currently am. Newcastle is a wonderful city, dynamic, it is a small country town at heart. That can have its challenges, especially if you feel like you don't quite fit.
I reckon all souls feel this once in a while, some more then others, until you find the people that you can be yourself with.
Always a sharp-edged object trying to fit into the circular mold, having a disjointed view of my body, not truly being present in the moment.
This blog is the culmination of my immersion into the me made wardrobe.
